			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Bodybuilders show their great accomplishments in competitions held first at local levels, but later the contestants who are successful move on to regional and national competitions. Body building competitions started at the beginning of the last century. The competitions began in New York, but these competitions are now held all over the country. Some bodybuilders have become famous by moving on to careers in the film industry. The body building competitions were greatly popular in places such as Venice Beach in California. This town became a magnet for those preparing for body building competitions. Several of the contestants found some success in the movie industry, and one eventually became governor of a major state.</p>

<p>The body building competitions are judged by experts and viewed by large audiences in many places. At first only men took part in the competitions, but now there are competitions for women. All of these competitions have many contestants from different walks of life. Some of the contestants are involved in body building related jobs such as jobs as personal trainers and coaches. Others who take part in these competitions have regular jobs but take part in the body building competitions in their spare time.</p>
<p>Body Building Competitions Are For Prizes and Personal Fitness</p>
<p>Some of the contestants in body building competitions win important prizes, but all of the contestants shape up and look toned. Many of the people that participate in body building programs look extremely toned because of weightlifting and nutritional programs. Some others follow the information that these people use for their competitions but use the information for their own personal fitness. The body building competitions have contributed a body of information for personal fitness. Some that had taken part in competitions used substances to help them build up their muscles. There are now very stringent rules for body building competitions.</p>
<p>Body building competitions continue to draw many people with beautiful bodies full of toned muscles. The competition is stiff as there are many taking part that are incredibly fit. The magazines and books about body building and competitions continue to sell millions of copies around the world. The competitions continue with new people taking advantage of the training for these body building competitions for personal fitness. The researchers seeking nutritional information and weightlifting techniques continue to enlighten people on the important principles of physical fitness.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>An old saying goes that “a house is only as strong as its foundation,” and this can be adapted to read “training is only as effective as the design of the program.” Efficient design program is directly related to achieving the ultimate body, for without it, the bodybuilder would be directionless. For bodybuilding and weight training to be effective, the design process should help establish the desired outcome and it can be broken into two categories, which are performance enhancement and composition of the body.</p>

<p>Having determined the desired outcome, it is time to consider training splits that includes body part, upper, lower and full body splits. For those that are interested in bodybuilding and weight training for athletic achievement or function, using upper/lower as well as full body splits is recommended. For core weight training one should have repeated exposure to obtain maximum motor unit recruitment. Competitive bodybuilders, on the other hand, need focusing on specifics such as distal muscle size and peaks.</p>
<p>Using Heavy Weights Is Not Indispensable</p>
<p>While considering bodybuilding and weight training, it is essential to understand that heavy weights are not always indispensable to build muscle. The important thing is that the weight that the bodybuilder is using should feel heavy to the muscles being worked. And, form is the difference between bodybuilding and just lifting weights, and poor form with excessive weights will not work the target muscle, and will cause momentum to shift rather than the muscles.</p>
<p>Form is essential for bodybuilding and weight training and the bodybuilder should ensure that the exercise is hard, and not easy. Looking for the path of least resistance is common to most bodybuilders who might prefer a drug, supplement, “breakthrough technique” or a shortcut in exercise form as the next big thing to happen in bodybuilding and weight training.</p>
<p>However, there are certain steps that need to be performed when using bodybuilding and weight training, and these techniques all involve ways of using better form so that exercising is harder and not easy. Bodybuilders need to eliminate extraneous body movements as well as momentum as it will prevent injuries from occurring, and also provide some small amount of stimulus for new muscle growth.</p>
<p>The bodybuilder should think about squeezing and contracting, which are the two most important parts of bodybuilding and weight training. Use of such techniques that entail constant tension without locking out is very effectual in some exercises, and the bodybuilder should remember that the full range of motion should be incorporated in each exercise so that there is full stretch as well as full contraction.</p>
<p>It is also true that most muscle growth happens with weights that allow perfect strict form and the main reason that people forget this truth is because of their egos. It is wonderful to have spectators see huge weights being lifted, but the goal is to grow and not to show off, and thus requires keeping the ego in control.</p>
<p>Other useful techniques include thinking “more tension,” and maintaining or increasing tension on the muscles is highly recommended. Slowing down is also a positive attitude to have, and good bodybuilding and weight training should be performed such that slow repetition is really more effective repetition, and a small change in technique to accommodate this thinking will help improve form as well as increase muscular development.</p>
<p>Finally, the bodybuilder should use a slower positive, because when the bodybuilder slows down the concentric, it will be as effective if not more effective as negatives as it will literally force bodybuilders to maintain perfect form. It may seem humbling at first, but using perfect form with less weight will provide pure muscle growth, and bodybuilders should remember to concentrate on strict form first, and then weights.</p>

This means that while bodybuilding and weightlifting go hand in hand, it also requires that the bodybuilder works the muscles in the gyms and then gives them time to recover.</p>
<p>Do Not Overtrain</p>

<p>Doing a lot of exercising when combining bodybuilding and weightlifting may also not show results because in this sport, more will not result in more; rather, less is more. Overtraining can occur and signs of it are when one gets sick or catches a cold more than is normal, feels tired all the time, muscles and eyelids start to twitch, and most important of all, there is no strength or size gains for extended periods of time. This is when one should stop working out and needs to take a week of rest.</p>
<p>Bodybuilding and weightlifting is all about workout routines and what exercises, how many sets, how many reps, and more that the bodybuilder performs. Splitting up the workout is known as a workout split and requires programming for certain days of the week that are set aside for particular muscle workouts. A most important aspect of bodybuilding and weightlifting is that there should not be any overtraining.</p>
<p>The bodybuilder may need to follow one of three things when making a workout routine and splits. He or she could work chest, triceps and shoulders on the same day and then do biceps and back also so that secondary muscles are worked on that particular day. Or, he or she may separate those muscles that work secondary muscles and thus not overtrain. And, most preferably, when bodybuilding with weightlifting programs, do chest as well as triceps on Mondays, and shoulders on Thursdays and finally back and biceps on Fridays.</p>
<p>Bodybuilding and weightlifting entails a number of different exercises for each muscle and there are many ways to split them in order to make a routine out of them. Muscle building is not easy and requires time as well as effort and needs a person to dedicate time to perform the required routines. The most important bodybuilding and weightlifting step includes workout routines and these routines must be done correctly.</p>
<p>There are four exercises, among the many exercises that make up a compound movement, which are exercises requiring the body to use more than a single muscle. The four biggest as well as most effectual muscle building exercises are squats, deadlifts, bench presses as well as military presses. These four compound movements, if performed correctly, will help the exerciser in his or her bodybuilding and weightlifting endeavors, and combined with a good diet, which is as important as the actual weightlifting, will do wonders for the bodybuilder. Last, but not the least, the bodybuilder need to get enough rest in order for him or her to recover and not overtrain.</p>
