What Causes Cancer

The cure for cancer is still some way off, but it is something that science expects say can possibly happen within the next few decades. This disease causes suffering everywhere it is found. Research over the years has helped our understanding of cancer but not to the point where we are able to foretell exactly when it will happen.

There are theories that we all have it and it just takes something to start it off, but what is cancer? They cross over to other cells and sites of the body continuing to grow and divide.

What is Cancer?

Unfortunately, cancer is a fact of life in our world. People die from it every day and there are more kinds than one would like to think about. It seems every time you turn on the news, you hear another item or habit causes this dreadful disease. But what is it really? Why are there so many variations and what is the cause of it?

Under normal circumstances, the human body reproduces cells at a regular rate. Sometimes through outside forces, the DNA of some cells get damage and do not die off like they are supposed to. These reproduce at an unchecked pace and the growth spreads through the body. This is the basic explanation of cancer. Its’ typically treated through radiation, chemotherapy, or by removing the infected tissues.

Understanding Breast Cancer

Breast Cancer occurs when some cells in your breast grow out of control. It’s in the top 3 of cancers for women and is one of the leading causes of female mortality in early middle age, although survival rates are increasing every year.

All the publicity and campaigns have raised the profile of breast cancer and women are very aware of the risks. Survival rates improve every year and the earlier the cancer is found higher the cure rate. Men get breast cancer as well but it is 100 times less common.

The Definition and Causes of Angiosarcoma

A malignant and rapid growing cancer, angiosarcoma is also highly invasive. The endothelial cells that line the walls of the blood and lymphatic vessels are the location from which the tumors arise.

All blood vessels and lymphatics are lined by endothelial cells; the layer being called the endothelium. The tumor begins as a growth of rapidly proliferating immature cells, but can quickly become cancerous and spread to many other systems.

Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer that is diagnosed every year. It is also one cancer that is easily detectable if you pay attention to your skin and perform a self examination regularly. In addition to skin cancer detection you should do everything you can to prevent skin cancer from ever starting.

In addition your doctor should be examining your skin during your routine examination and checking out anything that you have seen and have a question on.
