			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The latest diet to hit the health world is the pH Miracle Diet. Different diets appear to come and go as noted by health experts. The low-fat diets were all the rage in the 90s. In the 21st century however, low-carbohydrate diets such as The South Beach Diet, The Atkins Diet, Sugarbusters and Protein Power all experienced popularity. When someone fails to lose weight after trying one diet, they will move on to the next diet. That next new diet is the pH Miracle Diet.</p>

<p>The pH Miracle Diet offers relief from the low-carbohydrate, high-protein diets of the past few years. The diet approaches nutrition from a new way and was created by Robert Young. The diet is also known as the Young Diet or the Alkaline Diet. The new approach is looking at what the human body needs and balancing those needs. Nutritionists and Holisitic doctors agree with this approach.</p>
<p>The human body has a bit of an alkaline pH. We know our body works at this pH, so it makes sense that any foods we ingest should also be slightly alkaline. Right now, most Americans ingest acidic foods, such as animal proteins, sugars, caffiene and other processed and packaged food. The acidity of these foods tamper with our body’s pH and cause problems in our body. The acidic foods change how our bodies handle alkaline minerals according to those who support the pH Miracle Diet. These minerals are sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium and can all correlate to chronic diseases.</p>
<p>The pH Miracle Diet gives great credence to this. It is no secret to nutritionists and health proponents, that we are what we eat and what we eat affects how we feel and how healthy we are. As an industry, most doctors advise a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, meats, and dairy products; however, the pH Miracle diet takes this to another level. It shows that by eating acidic foods, your body loses minerals it needs to function. By eating the pH Miracle Diet way, a person is forgoing the foods that can harm their body.</p>
<p>The pH Miracle Diet avoids many common and popular foods. For instance, wheat and wheat products are prohibited on the diet. This may be surprising, because the FDA encourages us to eat whole wheat products as part of a healthy diet. But the pH Miracle Diet shows us that acidic grains like wheat, oats, millet and rice are dangerous. Alkaline grains, however, such as buckwheat, quinoa and spelt are beneficial to our bodies.</p>
<p>The pH Miracle Diet also restricts all meats and dairy products. The exception is goat milk due to it’s slight alkaline quality. You can load up on protein in the form of beans, nuts, tofu and seeds. Alkaline foods include most vegetables except for mushrooms. Fruits that are allowed are grapefruit, coconut, lemon and lime.</p>
<p>Within the first few weeks of going on the pH Miracle Diet you will see positive effects on your health, according to people who have tried it. Reducing processed foods and adding vegetables to your diet is good for your health, whether you adhere to this diet or not. The pH Miracle Diet’s detractors that this is the problem with the diet. If you are already eating a fresh and balanced diet and ingesting enough water, following the diet won’t make a difference. But this theory does not account for the acid and alkaline in our bodies.</p>
<p>There are no concrete scientific testing results on the pH Miracle Diet and many mainstream medical doctors do not see any advantages to the diet. The theories behind the diet are rooted in holisitic and Chinese medicine that have existed for hundreds of years. These principles are being tested right now at the Johns Hopkins’ University and by Dr. Neil Solomon of the United Nations. The results from these may cause critics of the pH Miracle Diet to eat their words.</p>

<p>Atkins, in his Atkins diet book, stated that he believed that the prevailing theories about weight gain were terribly wrong. First, he dismissed the notion that saturated fats were bad for weight loss; instead he said it was it was the carbohydrates that led to the weight problems Americans have these days. Atkins held that on the contrary, our obsession with avoiding fat actually worsened the problem. He pointed out that the low-fat diet foods on the market were high in carbohydrates but were not helping the nation, which probably meant that people on a ‘normal’ diet often ate foods that were worse for them than what they had been eating before.</p>
<p>The Atkins diet shifts the focus. Atkins said that by cutting out carbohydrates, people would burn stored body fats. And if you lose the fat, you lose the weight. He said it was not just a matter of eating less. Dr. Atkins held that your diet could actually help you burn calories. The Atkins diet supposedly burned more calories than were consumed everyday. But the claims were contested.</p>
<p>Dr. Atkins also promulgated the positive influence that his diet should have on suffers of Type 2 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is a disease you usually get early in life, but Type 2 is more often closely associated with diet and surplus body weight. Therefore, it should follow that any diet that helps decrease weight, will help people with Type 2 diabetes. The Atkins diet is low in carbohydrates, which ought to be avoided by those with Type 2 diabetes regardless of the caloric intake, which the Atkins diet does, so Atkins claimed that those who suffer Type 2 diabetes would no longer need medication such as insulin. <p>What are the steps one has to take to follow the Atkins diet? It is followed in four phases &#8211; Induction; On-Going Weight loss, Pre-maintenance and Lifetime Maintenance. Here is an overview of the most important phase &#8211; The Induction Phase.</p>
<p>The Induction phase is the most difficult of the phases in the Atkins diet. Atkins is flexible about how long it should last ” but recommends it lasts for two weeks. During this phase, carbohydrate consumption is severely curtailed ” you can only eat up to 20 grammes per day. The idea is to enter a fat burning metabolic phase called ‘ketosis’ wherein the body, starved of glucose, begins to convert stored fat into the fatty acids needed to run the body. Weight loss during this phase can be extreme ” some Atkins dieters reported losses of 5-10 pounds a week or more.</p>
<p>The aims of the final three phases in the Atkins diet are to learn the ideal carbohydrate levels for the next two phases, which are continued weight loss and weight maintenance. Many millions of people are still losing the weight they want to on the Atkins Diet ” but be aware of the risks of taking in too much cholesterol and fat.</p>

This diet has been around for over 2 decades and promises you can lose 10 pounds a week by following this strict meal plan for 7 days eating mostly cabbage soup.</p>
<p>An example of the 7 days meal plans:</p>

<p>Day 1: Fruit; consist of cabbage soup, fruits (except banana), protein shake, fat burner drink, and water with lemon or herbal. Day 2: Vegetable; consist of cabbage soup, vegetables, protein shake, fat burner drink, baked potato, and water with lemon or vegetable juices. Day 3: Fruit and Vegetables; consist of cabbage soup, fruit, vegetables, protein shake, fat burner drink, and water with lemon or vegetable juices. Day 4: Bananas; consist of cabbage soup, banana, low fat dairy, protein shake, and water with lemon or herbal. Day 5: Fish and Tomatoes; consist of cabbage soup, fish or poultry with tomatoes, protein shake, fat burner drink, and water with lemon or herbal. Day 6: Poultry Day; consist of cabbage soup, poultry or fish, vegetables, protein shake, fat burner drink, water with lemon or vegetable juices. Day 7: Rice Day; consist of cabbage soup, vegetables, protein shake, fat burner drink, mushroom risotto, and water with lemon or vegetable juices.</p>
<p>Some tips you need to remember: there is no limit to how much of the cabbage soup you can eat daily. On days 3,5,6,and 7 you can also eat as much chicken, fish, fruit, or vegetables as you want. The most common recipe for cabbage soup includes: cabbage, onions, peppers, carrots and tomatoes and whatever seasonings you prefer. While on the cabbage soup diet you cannot have any bread, alcohol or carbonated soft drinks.</p>
<p>While it is named The Cabbage Soup Diet, there are no scientific studies that show cabbage properties to burn fat. The seven days meal plans indicate that this is another low calorie diet with 800-100 calories per day, the cabbage soup is just there to satisfy the dieter whenever he is hungry.</p>
<p>Pros</p>
<p>1. Lose weight fast; most people will lose between 10 -15 pounds over the 7 days of the cabbage soup diet.</p>
<p>2. Doesn’t cost much; all the ingredients for this diet are easily found and inexpensive to buy.</p>
<p>3. Simple; you don’t have to exercise or change anything else, just eat what’s listed on the diet plan for only 7 days.</p>
<p>4. You will eat more fruits and vegetables.</p>
<p>Cons</p>
<p>1. Taking in just 800-1,000 calories a day is not considered healthy unless supervised by your doctor. There is also very little protein in the program which could lead to mal-nutrition. Most doctors recommend you take in at least 1200 calories daily.</p>
<p>2. Continuously eat cabbage soup throughout the entire week can be really boring, which can encourage the dieter to eat less than the already low calories per day.</p>
<p>3. High levels of sodium or MSG contained in the soup recipe could lead to long term health issues.</p>
<p>4. There is theory that the weight loss mainly comes from fluid or muscle mass, not fat loss, which will return once the dieter back to the normal eating behaviors.</p>
<p>5. The common cabbage soup recipes usually result in bland soup and some dieters have report to feeling nauseous whenever they smell the soup after finish the 1 week program.</p>
<p>6. Possibly cause frequently fart.</p>
<p>7. If you eat out it’s tough to follow the meal plan in a restaurant.</p>
<p>As with everything the field of weight loss is constantly changing as new techniques are explored. Today most people know that starving themselves is not the way to achieve a permanent weight loss and healthy body. But we all know that the idea of a quick fix can be very appealing so if you think you have to give the cabbage soup diet a try, keep these things in mind:</p>
<p>1. Only adults should use this diet plan, no children or teenagers.</p>
<p>2. Do not stay on the cabbage soup diet for more than 7 days.</p>
<p>3. Talk to your doctor about any health concerns.</p>
<p>4. During the diet, keep remind yourself that the program only last for seven days and it will result on significant weight loss.</p>
<p>5. Stay hydrated. Drink at least 5 glasses of water every day.</p>
<p>6. To liven things up experiment with different seasonings.</p>
<p>7. No matter how bored you get with the soup, don’t skip meals. You aren’t taking in very many calories as it is, you can’t afford to lower your caloric intake any more.</p>
<p>8. You should probably stay home during your diet. Not only will you feel weak due to your low calorie intake, but you don’t want to have a problem with gas while standing in the line at the grocery store!</p>
<p>9. Take some vitamin and mineral supplements to help you get all the nutrients you need.</p>
<p>10. Keep track of your progress by using a daily journal.</p>
<p>11. Use a reminder to make sure you eat the right food of the day.</p>
<p>12. Before you start your diet, make sure you have all the ingredients you need for the diet plan.</p>
<p>13. Consume protein shake to avoid lack of protein.</p>
<p>If you can stay motivated and focused for the 7 day plan you can lose between 10 -15 pounds. Not bad for a weeks worth of work!</p>

The majority will however take the small incremental change route that will, over time, give the desired results and this may be the recommended route as making a change to the bodybuilding diet should be one that means taking many small steps in order to reach the larger and final goal.</p>
<p>Setting New Goals Every Two Weeks</p>
<p><span id="more-51"></span>
<p>Making changes slowly to the bodybuilding diet will ensure that the body gets accustomed to the changes, and every two weeks a new goal may be set, with each goal building upon the success of the previous step. It will require a certain degree of dedication and determination which the bodybuilder should have in order to succeed in his quest for the perfect body.</p>
<p>A body building diet that has different goals every two weeks will yield consistent fat loss as well as muscle gain, and the first two weeks should be used for cutting the fat. This means reducing the fat intake and may entail steaming and boiling food that would otherwise have been fried, substituting with low fat or non-fat the high fat content of salad dressings, and also substituting high fat meats with lower fat choices.</p>
<p>The following two weeks of the body building diet changes may require eliminating refined sugar consumption. This will require eliminating regular sodas that contain much sugar, and the body builder is advised to drink diet sodas, instead. He or she should also eliminate the use of table sugar as also not consume any type of sweets.</p>
<p>Weeks five to six of the body building diet regime should require the body builder to make water the main beverage of his or her diet. It means drinking much more water than has previously been consumed, and it requires the body builder to substitute all forms of drinks, including diet sodas as well as fruit juices, for water. Thirst must only be quenched by drinking water, and the body builder should also drink an eight ounce glass of water with every meal as well as drink a minimum of sixteen ounces of water during workouts.</p>
<p>Weeks seven and eight will necessitate controlling caloric intakes as well as multiple feedings. These are perhaps the most challenging weeks of the complete body building diet regime, and requires much determination to succeed. This is when the most unbelievable results will show up, and it requires determining the lean body mass which can be multiplied by twelve in order to obtain the base caloric intake per day, and this quantity should be divided by five or six for males, and by four or five for females, to give the number of calories that must be consumed per meal. Even if it means writing down the caloric intake, the body builder should do so and use it to keep close control that the allotted calories are not exceeded.</p>
<p>Weeks nine and ten will get the body builder closer to the ideal body building diet.<br />
Following these basic body building diet steps should ensure quantifiable as well as desired results in just two months or thereabouts.</p>

<p>Let’s take a look at some of the benefits from eating enough fruits and vegetables. The first thing you’ll notice is the large amount of fiber you’ll be getting from your fruits and veggies. In addition to keeping you regular, fiber can also help you feel full more quickly so you will feel the desire to eat less. This is a great way to lose some weight without drugs or pills.</p>

<p>Another benefit of a diet rich in fruits and vegetables is the sheer amount of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients you’ll be getting. Your body needs these things to work properly and getting them in their natural state (i.e., non-processed) is fantastic. Fruits and vegetables are also rich in antioxidants which can help prevent and ward off cancer.</p>
<p>Your body is also able to digest and process whole foods such as fruits and vegetables more easily than it can junk food. Having your body spend less energy on digestion means you’ll feel more alert and have more energy.</p>
<p>Junk food is generally full of processed sugars that pass right through your system and go straight into your bloodstream. Your body counteracts this by producing insulin to break down the sugar. This surge of sugar and insulin are what cause the frequent sugar-rush and crash you get from junk food. Fresh fruit has natural sugars which are broken down more slowly by your body. This leads to a low surge of energy that lasts for hours.</p>
<p>There are many health problems that can be solved by eating more fruits and vegetables. IBS, constipation, and other GI tract issues can be helped or made better by the simple addition of more fruits and vegetables in your diet.</p>

<p>Most easy-to-use weight loss programs use a balanced and flexible diet. Get ready to, however, first by focusing on losing the first 10 pounds and then shoot for the next 10 pounds.</p>

<p>You need to lose weight by keeping track of what you eat. Cut out fats by eliminating butter, margarine, mayonnaise, oil from your sandwiches and food preparations. You don’t have to write down the calorie count, but write down what you eat.</p>
<p>Use skim milk and make a habit to drink tea. If you insist on using whole milk at least use two percent milk in your diet. This helps cutting down on your fat intake.</p>
<p>Use cottage cheese, chicken, fish, eggs or yogurt, legumes or peanuts. Begin planning not difficult meatless lunches and dinners each week and try to make meatless more of a habit. Also limit your sugar treats to only a few a week.</p>
<p>Eat at least two servings of fresh fruit every day. Choose whatever type of fruit is in season. Instead of fruit juice for breakfast or snack, drink water. Add a slice of lemon or lime for zest. Include two servings of vegetables with lunch and dinner, for a total of at least four servings per day.</p>
<p>Choose one to two servings of foods made from whole grains with every meal. Shut off the TV whenever you eat meals and snacks. Studies show that we automatically eat larger portions when we snack in front of the tube, and typically those foods are high in fat and sugar, which means excess calories!</p>
<p>Choose calories you can chew that means only calorie-free beverages (except for milk). Sodas are abounding with empty calories, and fruit juices provide less fiber and vitamins per calorie than the fruit they’re made from. Plan ahead for meals and snacks so you know exactly what you plan to eat. Last-minute choice tends to be higher in calories and lower in satisfaction.</p>
