Teeth Whitening Options
It doesn’t matter how much you care for your teeth and how nicely you look after them, over a certain period of time they will not look as white as they used to. Others who do not visit a dentist regularly will have even worse teeth, and whitening teeth that are really bad will not be easy at all. Besides the fact that it is good for your teeth, having them whitened looks much better too. Let’s have a look at the teeth whitening options that are available to you.
You have many teeth whitening options, but the main three are making use of teeth whitening strips or toothpastes, bleaching by a dentist, or in-home bleaching. Using the whitening strips or toothpaste is the most cost effective and hassle-free option there is available to you. All you do in this case is brush your teeth with the toothpaste or apply the strips. Some of the top brands of toothpaste on the market today are the Colgate Simply White and Starbrite, where as the best strips are the Crest Whitestrips.
These toothpastes and strips shouldn’t be used for seriously damaged and yellow teeth, but rather only if you have minor yellowing and your teeth are still in good condition. Then there is another product called GoSmile that is slightly more expensive than the others, but does a wonderful job.
Another of the effective teeth whitening options is having them bleached by your dentist. This is usually a two step process, with each session lasting about two hours. The time involved with this process can be rather expensive when compared to the other options. However, the dentist will do a superb job, better than any strip or toothpaste and the results will be beautiful and long lasting.
For those that have neglected their teeth for years and have pretty bad teeth as a result will want to use the bleaching at the dentist option. This method is also good for those that have plenty of money and can afford to pay for a job well done. Those that use this option will never have to return for touchups and can expect to have an excellent job done the first time with no errors.
The other teeth whitening options you have is the in-home bleaching. This is where you buy your own bleaching products, many of which are available over-the-counter. What it typically consists of is you applying the gel to your teeth, leaving it for a few seconds, and then you will carry on as per usual.
As you can see it is a very simple, straight-forward procedure, but the only disadvantage is that you will have to do it everyday for a certain number of days. It will depend on the product you buy as not all of them are the same when it comes to how much you use, how long you have to use it, and how exactly it works.
These are just a few of the teeth whitening options that are available to you.
